District Sales Manager, RentPath
Richard Sargent is a District Sales Manager for RentPath. RentPath is a leading digital marketplace connecting millions of consumers with apartments, condos and houses for rent through its network of websites and mobile apps. Their goal is to simplify the rental experience for those looking for their ideal home. Richard has been involved in the AAKC since 2012 when he relocated back to Kansas City from Washington, DC. Over the years, Richard has gotten more involved in different committees and events for the AAKC. Richard has worked in many capacities within the Multi Family Housing industry since he began in 2009. He got his start as a Resident Services Coordinator and has worked as a Leasing Consultant, an Assistant Property Manager, a Property Manager, Multi-Site Property Manager and a Regional Manager. During that time, Richard oversaw the day-to-day operations of Luxury Class A communities, Class B communities, Class C communities, renovations, Section 8 and LIHTC. In 2017, Richard transitioned to the Supplier Partner side where he worked in Marketing, Advertising and Reputation Management for RentPath as a Sales Executive. In 2020, he took on a new role as a Regional Account Manager for RentPath overseeing key accounts in the Midwest and East Coast.
Richard received his CAS designation in 2019. He currently serves on the Membership committee and the Fire Care Packages committee. Richard participates in nearly every event and is always eager to jump in and help out when necessary.
In Richard’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his son, Harrison, and traveling (preferably to the beach).
