The Housekeeper performs tasks to ensure the overall cleanliness and proper appearance of vacant apartment homes, leasing office, and other amenities to enhance and maintain property appeal.


  • Responsible for cleaning vacant units as needed
  • Responsible for unsupervised, timely completion of occupied apartment service requests
  • Must be aware of the condition of apartment property throughout the community and immediately initiates action to correct unclean and unsafe conditions
  • Ensures that storage areas /vacant units remain locked when not in use
  • Completes all service requests within 24 hours, unless the request requires extraordinary parts or labor
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work areas
  • Participate in safety meetings, ensures all MSDS sheets are current and readily accessible
  • Follow OSHA and other safety-related laws to maintain property compliance
  • Distributes resident notices to residents
  • Assists with resident functions as required
  • Maintains courteous and helpful demeanor with residents, prospective residents, co-workers, vendors, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees
  • Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and be accountable for actions, self-motivated
  • Positive attitude and team player

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES - Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • One year of property maintenance preferred


  • Possession of valid driver’s license and up to date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation
  • Pass criminal background screening prior to employment


  • Normal office setting with travel to various properties owned and operated by Avanti Residential; frequent contact with residents including those with disabilities
  • Must be able to follow directions, be innovative and resourceful, provide excellence customer service, display respect and professionalism at all times
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team, as needed
