AAKC Committees News & Updates

PDEC Update:

Recently, the committee has completed the selection of all speakers and finalized the full slate of topics for the 2026 education seminars. PDEC has also planned every credential course for the coming year and continues to support the delivery of CEC continuing education classes to ensure our members have access to high-quality, industry-relevant learning.

In addition to seminar and credential programming, the committee is developing a series of mini-seminars aimed at offering quick, impactful training opportunities throughout the year.

PDEC also works closely with Workforce Development, which has spearheaded multiple job fairs and internship opportunities to strengthen the local talent pipeline. Workforce Development has additionally produced career-pathway videos to help individuals entering the multifamily housing profession better understand available roles and opportunities within our industry.

Together, these initiatives reflect PDEC’s commitment to supporting the growth, readiness, and long-term success of Kansas City’s multifamily housing workforce.

Crystal Merit Update: 
The committee has booked the nominee party! Invitations to go out soon. Save the date for January 22nd following the forecasting seminar. 
Our big event is March 28th at the Overland Park Convention Center. Garnet Red is the color of the night! We are still taking nominations at $75 each. Get them in by December 19th by noon. That is a firm cut off. There are still some sponsorships available but they are going fast. We can't wait to celebrate the best of the best!
