Shawn Dawes, CAM, CAPS, LEAD, Lyceum Graduate

Shawn Dawes is the Vice President of 3rd Party Operations for Blue Door Management. With over 20 years in experience in multi-family, Shawn has a diverse background, managing assets across student, conventional, military, and senior housing in multiple markets throughout the Midwest.

Shawn holds both the CAM and CAPS designations from the National Apartment Association, as well as the LEAD certification from the Apartment Association of Kansas City (AAKC). He is actively engaged within the AAKC, serving on the Board of Directors for 2025 and 2026. Shawn contributes to several committees, currently co-chairing the Professional Development and Education Committee and previously co-chaired the Trade Show Committee. He also serves as an Ambassador for the association, was a 2025 Lyceum graduate and was honored as a 2024 Best Regional Supervisor nominee.

In his role with Blue Door, Shawn oversees the operations of the growing 3rd party division of the company and is responsible for the operational oversight of assets in Colorado and Montana. Shawn is passionate about the multi-family housing industry and strives to continue to learn and grow in the industry.
