Topic: Advanced Fair Housing - The Expansion of Resident Rights

Presenting speaker: Robynn Haydock

Seminar Description: Our duty under the Fair Housing Act is to protect all people from discrimination related to where they want to live. “Discrimination” is broadening in its scope and meaning under the law and in our society. We will delve into the fast-changing picture of resident rights, as well as recent court cases that are changing how we practice in property management. How do we create communities of people who know that their rights are protected and upheld, but who will also meet their obligations to us? Perhaps the answer is quite simple. Topics include Artificial Intelligence, Evictions, Sexual Harassment, Aging in Place, Assistance Animals, DEIB and more! Join us as we weigh in on current Fair Housing trends and take an advanced look at the recent expansion of protections and rights for our residents.
