Gerald Thompson

Gerald Thompson is the Owner of House Doctors of Northland KC, a locally owned business within the Premium Service Brands franchise network. He launched the company in 2019, recognizing that the House Doctors brand aligned with his background in home repair and his commitment to helping homeowners throughout the Kansas City Northland.

Based in Liberty, Missouri, the company serves Clay and Platte counties with a team of five employees. House Doctors provides a full range of handyman, remodeling, and commercial services, including wood rot repair, flooring, gutters, make readies, remediation put-backs, and installation of doors and windows. The company focuses on interior remodeling during the winter and exterior projects—such as decks, windows, doors, and painting—during warmer months.

Gerald leads with a mission of delivering unmatched customer service and craftsmanship. The company operates on five core values: Craftsmanship, Continuous Improvement, Integrity, Open-Minded Communication, and Teamwork.

He is active in the AAKC, the Professional Remodeling Collective, and the Senior Falls Prevention Coalition, and serves on the House Doctors Franchise Advisory Council and the Liberty Area Chamber of Commerce Board. Gerald completed both the LEAD and Lyceum leadership programs and has been recognized as Franchisee of the Year (2019 and 2020) and a KC Chamber Small Business Superstar (2024).

Gerald remains hands-on in daily operations, performing most estimates, reviewing project quality, and developing internal systems. He lives in Lathrop, Missouri, and enjoys fishing, camping, hunting, and spending time outdoors.
