Let’s talk about where you’d fit in: Worcester Communities is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our community. What You’ll Do: Overseeing Maintenance Operations: Manage daily service requests, coordinate with the maintenance team, and ensure timely completion of tasks. Implementing Preventative Maintenance: Develop and maintain a program to extend asset life, minimize repairs, and identify energy-saving measures. Managing Resources: Maintain supply inventory, adhere to budget guidelines, and ensure a well-organized and safe maintenance shop. Leading the Team: Train, motivate, and develop the maintenance team, promote safe work practices, and conduct performance appraisals. Ensuring Quality and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections, manage unit turns, and adhere to safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and fair housing laws. Educational Requirements:*
High school diploma or equivalent;
Qualified Skills
Technical Expertise: Proven experience in apartment maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair. Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and maintain accurate records. Problem-Solving Abilities: A knack for diagnosing issues, implementing effective solutions, and ensuring efficient operations. Attention to Detail: Commitment to accuracy, thoroughness, and maintaining high-quality standards. Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication with team members, residents, and vendors. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Business Suite, and property management software (Entrata preferred). Certifications: EPA Type I and II, CPO (if applicable), CAMT (preferred), and other required licenses. Valid driver's license and current auto insurance; Basic hand tools and ability to use general maintenance equipment; Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various environmental conditions.
