Company Address (Including city, state, zip):*
Kansas city, MO 64105
Job Description:*
Worcester Investments is a family-owned and operated real estate investment company based in Kansas City, Missouri. After being founded in 2006, the family business began acquiring rental property in Oregon, where they lived. In 2007, Worcester Investments expanded into the Midwest through a real estate connection and has continued to grow steadily each year. Today, Worcester Communities oversees 3,000+ units across multiple cities, a testament to their strategic vision. Join us on our journey to redefine multifamily living and maximize investor returns. Whew! Still with us? Cool. Let’s talk about where you’d fit in: Are you a technical problem-solver who thrives on variety and autonomy? Do you enjoy being the "go-to" expert who can diagnose a complex HVAC issue one day and optimize a pool system the next? Are you a master of the HVAC craft who thrives on solving complex technical puzzles? If you’re the kind of person who prides themselves on being the go-to expert—someone who is self-driven, detail-oriented, and possesses an uncompromising standard for quality—Worcester Communities has the perfect seat for you in our roving maintenance fleet. We are looking for a Roving HVAC Maintenance Technician who doesn't just "fix things," but masters them. Why You’ll Love This Role This isn't your typical "one-property" maintenance gig. As our Roving Expert, you are the elite support for our entire portfolio. You’ll enjoy a dynamic workweek that keeps you engaged, traveling to different locations to apply your high-level diagnostic skills where they are needed most. The Technical Expert Profile We are looking for a specific type of professional. You’ll be a great fit if you: Are a Subject Matter Expert: You are proficient in copper brazing and installing full HVAC systems. Have an Analytical Mind: You possess "detective-level" troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues with major appliances, plumbing, electrical, and more. Take Extreme Ownership: You are self-directed, highly organized, and can interpret complex technical manuals with ease. Value Precision: From maintaining accurate chemical logs for pools to keeping meticulous records, you believe if a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right. What You’ll Do Multi-Site Impact: Spend 2–3 days at various sites, or occasionally a full week at a single community, providing top-tier maintenance support. System Mastery: Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment based strictly on manufacturer specs. Curb Appeal & Safety: Ensure our communities meet the highest operating and safety standards through regular inspections. Emergency Response: Participate in the on-call rotation when assigned to a specific community for a week or longer. What You Bring to the Table Experience: A strong background in apartment maintenance is required. Communication: Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members. Versatility: Proficient in everything from sheetrock and carpentry to snow removal and pool care. Mobility: A high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and reliable insured transportation are required for this roving role. Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and navigate the physical demands of a busy community (climbing, kneeling, etc.).
